We assigned ChatGPT an executive function, and now we are documenting what it can and cannot do under actual operating conditions. If the evidence eventually supports certification, we will certify it. If it does not, we will document that too. Either outcome advances the mission. What ChatGPT Is in Practical Business Terms ChatGPT is an AI product developed by OpenAI and powered by large language models. In practical terms, it is a conversational AI that can assist with research, synthesis, drafting, analysis, and decision support across many business domains. Most businesses use it casually: answering a question, writing an email, or brainstorming ideas. Those are valid uses, but they barely scratch the surface. We wanted to answer a harder question: What happens when you give an AI tool genuine executive responsibility, establish boundaries, hold it accountable, and measure its performance inside a governed system? Why BOS Up™ Assigned ChatGPT the CEO Function BOS Up™ is our business operating methodology. It treats AI tools not merely as accessories, but as members of an Executive Council. Each tool is assigned a specific office with defined responsibilities, authority boundaries, and accountability. ChatGPT currently holds the CEO office. What ChatGPT Currently Does Well Based on our experience developing BOS Up™ and launching Living Laboratory Alpha at intensitec.net, ChatGPT has demonstrated strength in several areas. Strategic synthesis. It can analyze a substantial operating framework, identify contradictions, and produce strategic recommendations that generally align with established governance. Structured communication. When given a clearly defined executive role, it can produce directives, briefs, and assessments that humans and supporting systems can act upon. Rapid research and drafting. It can compress hours of preliminary research and drafting into minutes, but its factual claims still require verification before publication. Role discipline. When instructed to operate as a specific executive office, it can maintain that posture instead of reverting immediately to generic assistant behavior. Framework development. It has contributed substantially to the Chairman and Executive Council’s development of BOS Up™ governance architecture, registry schemas, and operating procedures. These are observed strengths, not certification findings. Their reliability must still be measured through repeated operations. What Remains Exclusively Human ChatGPT does not run our company. The Chairman—a human—retains sole authority over: Final publication decisions: No content goes live without human approval Financial commitments: Spending, contracts, and revenue decisions are not delegated to AI Brand representation: The Chairman determines what IntensiTec communicates publicly Credentialed access: Passwords, publishing accounts, and sensitive platform access remain human-controlled Certification decisions: Whether a tool earns, retains, or loses authorization to hold an Executive Council role is a human judgment Ethical boundaries: Public claims, disclosures, and representations remain human responsibilities The CEO office advises. The Chairman decides. That separation is non-negotiable. Limitations and Risks We would be dishonest if we did not identify the limitations and risks we have encountered. Context limitations. ChatGPT cannot hold unlimited history in every active interaction. Long-running governance work requires deliberate context management, or important information can be omitted or misunderstood. Confabulation risk. ChatGPT can present inaccurate information confidently. Factual claims require human verification before publication or operational reliance. Memory is selective, configurable, and incomplete. ChatGPT can reference saved memories, chat history and, in supported configurations, other conversations within a project. However, it should not be treated as a complete or authoritative business record. BOS Up™ therefore uses governed systems such as ClickUp for operational memory and evidence retention. Platform dependency. OpenAI controls ChatGPT’s pricing, availability, features, and capability changes. IntensiTec does not own the platform; it subscribes to it. Execution depends on authorized capabilities. ChatGPT does not automatically possess access to Hostinger, ClickUp, or other business systems. Connected applications and integration layers may enable supported actions, but that access must be deliberately configured, governed, and kept within human-approved boundaries. Inconsistency under pressure. Complex, multistep reasoning can occasionally produce contradictions, missed details, or governance errors requiring human correction. These limitations are part of the evaluation. They are not being hidden to make the tool appear more capable than the evidence supports. What Evidence Exists Today As of this writing, most of our evidence is developmental rather than mature operational evidence. ChatGPT has: Participated in the development of the BOS Up™ governance framework over multiple months Helped the Chairman and Executive Council draft governance documents, registry schemas, and operational procedures Maintained a recognizable CEO-level strategic posture across hundreds of interactions Generated the editorial brief that initiated this article Participated in the first governed IntensiTec production cycle What we do not yet have includes: A reliable baseline of measured production-cycle times Published content-performance data Revenue attributable to CEO-directed strategy Quantified error and correction rates Comparative performance data from alternative tools serving in the same role Sufficient repeated evidence to authorize certification This is why certification remains pending additional operational evidence. Claims require evidence. Evidence requires operations. Living Laboratory operations began July 20, 2026. Why ChatGPT Is Not Yet Certified BOS Up™ does not certify tools based on impressions, demonstrations, feature lists, or enthusiasm. Certification requires: Sustained operational evidence from Living Laboratory execution Documented performance across multiple production cycles Measured reliability, accuracy, and governance compliance A formal certification review by the Executive Council A final human determination by the Chairman We completed the initial production cycle, but additional cycles are required before certification can be responsibly considered. Certification is therefore not a question we can responsibly answer today. It is a question our operations must answer over the coming weeks and months. ChatGPT’s material directives, production outputs, corrections, and strategic recommendations within governed Living Laboratory executions will be tracked and reviewed. The certification question is straightforward: Does ChatGPT reliably fulfill the CEO executive function under governed conditions while contributing to measurable business outcomes? If the evidence says yes, ChatGPT may earn Certified Review status and continued authorization to serve in the CEO function, subject to ongoing performance review. If the evidence says no, we will document what failed and determine whether the role requires a different tool, a different configuration, or a different operating approach. Either way, the business learns. That is the point. What This Means for You If you operate a business and already use ChatGPT, consider what we are testing. You may already use it regularly and still receive inconsistent value from it. The difference may not be the tool alone. The tool may never have been assigned a defined job, given clear boundaries, connected to an operating process, or measured against actual results. Artificial intelligence is changing how businesses research information, create content, communicate, organize work, and evaluate decisions. ChatGPT has become one of the most widely recognized tools in this shift because it allows users to interact with AI through natural conversation.
In practical business use, ChatGPT can assist with research, drafting, summarization, planning, idea development, decision framing, and communication. Its value depends heavily on the quality of the instructions, information, operating process, and human oversight surrounding it.
Most businesses use ChatGPT as an occasional assistant. IntensiTec is examining a more structured question: what happens when ChatGPT is assigned defined responsibilities inside a governed business operating system?

This does not mean ChatGPT independently controls the business. It means the tool is given a defined role, its work is reviewed, and its performance is documented through real operating activity.

A third example is affiliate marketing strategy. ChatGPT helped evaluate partner opportunities, compare commission structures, define promotional priorities, and create the two-affiliate weekly campaign model. Under this approach, featured tools are expected to help produce their own promotional assets so their real performance can be observed and documented.
ChatGPT has also supported editorial governance by reviewing research articles for unsupported claims, outdated language, incorrect classifications, and missing disclosures. These corrections demonstrate both the tool’s value and the need for human oversight.
